Your data
Privacy
Daily Solitaire is a free browser game. There are no accounts, no third-party ad or analytics pixels, and we never put a player ID in a URL.
Last updated 29 September 2026.
Who this covers
This notice is for dailysolitaire.net (the "site"). The game is run independently. We do not sell personal information or share it with advertisers.
What we do not collect
- No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok pixel, or other third-party trackers
- No email address through the game
- No payment details (the game is free)
- No precise location, contacts, or device advertising IDs
- We do not keep a log of every card you move. A winning Daily is checked by replaying your moves, then only the time, move count and undo count are stored
Cookies
ds_player is an HttpOnly cookie set on your first visit. It is a random token. We store only a hash of it, so a leaked database row is not enough to impersonate you. It lets us count unique visitors, attach your Daily attempts to one anonymous player, and show your nickname on the leaderboard. Browsers cap it at about 400 days; a later visit can renew it.
ds_theme, ds_back and ds_face remember the table and cards you picked, so the right look can render on the next page. They are not HttpOnly (the page must read them) and last up to a year.
These cookies are first-party, on dailysolitaire.net only. We do not use them for cross-site advertising.
What we store on our servers
When the backend is connected, we keep:
- An anonymous player record (cookie hash, optional nickname, first and last campaign tags from links you arrived on)
- Daily attempts: date, attempt number, start time, and if you finish, duration, moves and undos
- One visit row per player per Daily calendar date (US Eastern), with the path and any UTM or share code on that first hit
- Share codes you create (random public codes, never your player id) and coarse events such as "started today's deal" or "copied a share"
Campaign tags are stored as sent on links like utm_source=tiktok. We use them to see which posts brought players, not to profile you elsewhere.
The site is hosted by Vercel. Game records are stored with Supabase. Those providers may keep ordinary request logs (which can include IP address) for security and operations. We do not use those logs to identify players or to advertise.
On this device
Your browser also keeps local data: stats, a saved game in progress, appearance, whether sound effects are on, and whether background music is on. Music is off until you turn it on. That never leaves the device unless you submit a Daily result (time and a move list for verification only). Clearing site data for this origin removes it.
Leaderboard and shares
The public leaderboard shows place, time, moves, and a nickname if you set one (otherwise Anonymous). Player IDs never appear there or in links. If you share a result, the link can include a random share code so we can tell that someone opened it — not who they are.
Children
The site is a general-audience solitaire game. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser. Without ds_player, we cannot keep a server-side streak or official leaderboard row for you; you can still play on the device. Changing or clearing appearance cookies only resets the table look.
There is no account to close. Clearing cookies and site data for dailysolitaire.net on this browser drops the anonymous cookie here. Records already saved under that cookie stay until we delete them in the database; they are not linked to your name unless you chose a nickname.
Changes
If we start using a third-party tracker or otherwise change what this page describes, we will update it and the date above.
