How to play Daily Solitaire
It's classic Klondike: build four suit piles from Ace to King. Today's deal is the same for everyone.
The layout
Seven tableau columns are dealt left to right. Column one has one card, column two has two, and so on up to seven. Only the top card of each column starts face up. The remaining 24 cards are the stock.
Four empty foundations sit above the tableau, one for each suit.
The goal
Move all 52 cards onto the foundations, Ace through King in each suit. When every foundation is complete, you have won.
Tableau
- Build down in alternating colours: red on black, black on red, next rank down (King, Queen, Jack, 10… Ace).
- You may move a single face-up card, or a whole descending run that is already in order.
- Only a King, or a run that starts with a King, may go into an empty column.
- Turning a face-down card is part of the same move that uncovered it.
Stock and waste
Tap the stock to draw one card onto the waste. Play the waste's top card onto a tableau column or a foundation when it fits. When the stock is empty, tap it again to recycle the waste — you may do this as often as you like.
Foundations
Each foundation is one suit, Ace first, then 2, 3, up to King. You can take a card back from a foundation onto the tableau if you need it. Double-tap a face-up card to send it to its foundation when that move is legal.
Moving cards
Tap to select, then tap a legal pile; or drag a card (or run) onto a target. Undo reverses the last action. When every remaining card is face up and can finish on the foundations, the game plays those last moves for you, one at a time.
If the pack is cycling with nothing left to play, you'll be offered a restart. Restarting before you have won still counts as official — see how scoring works.
Today's deal
Everyone worldwide gets the same cards, which change at midnight US Eastern. Your first win of the day is official. You can also play a random game that doesn't affect today's leaderboard.
